I love life. love is such a poor word to explain this beautiful Journey that Jesus Christ has called his people to embark on. An adventure with many challenges, disappointments, trials, triumphs and yes ultimately eternal victory the Hope of Glory. Its broader, deeper more intricate than our American romanticised notion of love.
It is a journey it is not a solitary act or event. It is an ongoing and Biblically speaking perpetual activity. To see, experience and respond to this guide along this journey path, who is none other than Jesus Himself. Great is the One who bore my sin upon the Cross and who I get to know. This journey with this God-man yields life. John 17:3 "And This is eternal life, that you may know God and Jesus Christ Whom He Sent." It all starts here, It starts with this man the Alpha-or beginning. The launching point for the "fullness of life"--John 10:10.
I don't claim to be an expert on this journey for this is obviously my first time following this awe-inspiring, loving, merciful, guide. I haven't been journeying too long either (about 14 years). But one thing is clear, by God's word, we aren't called to journey alone. We aren't made for isolation, yes, no man is an island it is true and critical to navigate on this journey to walk deeply and intimately not missing one ounce of the joy, and purpose of the trip.
Will you walk with me, can we journey together? I may not have the theological insight to baffle and awe...I hope that is not what this becomes. Rather I hope we mutually see in our lives A greater, more magnificent, and most importantly Biblically balanced and pure view of our God, our guide, our lover!
May we never grow tired of following this Christ, the only true Son of God. May he be glorified in the journey as we find ourselves in Him.
